Your Private Event
What will your party say about you?
If any of these sound familiar to you, I can help:
- I'm worried my party will be a bit dry and people might get bored.
- What if lots of people turn up late, or worse, much too early?
- If not enough people show up things will feel awkward.
- I'm celebrating an important milestone birthday and want it to stand out from my other birthday parties.
- What if people get too drunk too quickly and it ruins the whole party?
- How do I make sure my guests don't feel left out, especially if they're too shy to approach people?
- I'm planning a really special party with all of my friends and family and want it to go down in history as 'the best party ever!'
Four things vital to the success of a good party
1. The Arrivals
We tend to expect guests to arrive ‘fashionably late’ but are caught off guard by those that arrive 20 minutes too early.
This really gets a party off to a bad start and things will feel forced and awkward while you wait for more guests to arrive.
You may even still have those finishing touches to organise before the rest of your guests are due, but it would be rude to ignore your early birds.
2. The Vibe
Naturally, a great atmosphere is crucial and makes or breaks a good party.
We all dread being at ‘that party’ where no one's interacting, the room is filled with awkward, forced small talk, no one can relax and people end up either leaving early or wishing they could.
Often people reach to alcohol in awkward situations which can totally ruin a party by people getting too drunk too early.
3. Structure & Texture
It's important to have a varied program planned for your party.
There's no need to follow a strict schedule, but the best parties don't have long periods of time with nothing going on other than a generic playlist on shuffle.
Keep your party interesting by giving your guests different experiences throughout the party. This keeps them engaged and enjoying themselves with plenty of fun topics to talk about rather than just work or the weather.
Think about the last party you went to. What do you remember most? It probably wasn't the music, the table decorations or the smalltalk, was it?
We often forget that making a party really memorable, fun and exciting, requires a WOW-factor, something guests will remember and talk about forever, and something to really get the celebration going.
Without the WOW-factor, it could be just another gathering with friends and family or a night out at the pub.
And you'll take care of all of that for me?
Absolutely! Here's how:
The Roaming Rogue
I’ll break the ice quickly and have your guests chatting, laughing and spreading a buzzing glow around the room.
This frees you up to relax and enjoy the party knowing all of your guests are in good hands, feeling included and having a great time.
If your guests arrive too early, I can keep them entertained, allowing you to take your time getting ready.
The Hustler's Hideout
Looking for something new and unique?
The 'Hustler's Hideout' is a fantastic way to give your guests an unforgettable experience.
During the party, you invite small groups into a designated room named 'The Hideout', where they experience a personal performance of magic, con-games, hustles, and swindles.
Guests are asked to keep the room's contents secret, but are invited to spread rumours about their experience, however ridiculous they may be!
This is guaranteed to have your guests enjoying themselves both in and out of 'The Hideout’.
Catch Me If You Can Cabaret
Once the carbohydrates have kicked in, and the alcohol starts to take its toll, it causes a bit of a 'lull' in any party.
This is an ideal time for me to perform a 30 to 40 minute show to shake things up a bit.
The show is packed with witty humour and plenty of audience participation.
My performance leaves guests excited and energised with a fresh conversation starter and in the perfect party mood.
